They can be fed only at the designated DOG FEED AREA which is an Isolated Place away from the areas frequented by residents, especially Children and Senior Citizens. (High Court)

Feeding of Community Animals. -
The Resident Welfare Association or Apartment Owner Association or the Local Body's representative shall ensure:-
(i) to designate feed spots which are mutually agreed upon, keeping in mind the number of dog population and their respective territories and the feeding spots shall be far from children play areas, entry and exit points, staircase or in an area which is likely to be least frequented by children and senior citizen.
(ii) to designate feeding time depending on the movement of children, senior citizens, sports which is likely to be least frequented by children and senior citizen.
(iii) designated feeder shall ensure that there is no littering at the feeding location or violation of guidelines framed by the Resident Welfare Association or Apartment Owner Association or that areas.

Care-givers are advised not to feed street dogs close to residences not their own. They are also advised to avoid feeding street dogs immediately adjacent to areas which children play, or people take walk, or that are otherwise crowded. Moreover, feeding must not be done in a manner that contributes to littering or dirtying any feeding site. Caregivers are advised to clean up feeding sites after feeding is over.
कोर्ट ने ये भी कहा कि स्ट्रीट डॉग को वहां खिलाना चाहिए जहां कॉलोनी के उस हिस्से में लोगो का आना-जाना कम होता है.
Feeding zones will be set up with a board indicating that it (dog feeding) will not be allowed in common areas or anyone’s house.
